H. Upmann Royal Robusto LCDH - Single Cigar
H. UPMANN
H. Upmann is one of the oldest cigar brands in existence, dating back to the 1840s. It was started when Herman Upmann quit his job as a banker in the early 1840’s and went about opening up a branch office in Havana. Upmann quickly realised that he could begin a commercial endeavour in the industry and in 1844 he made the bold investment of a cigar factory and the H. Upmann brand was officially launched.
Later on in 1922, both the Upmann bank and the cigar business went bankrupt and they had to sell up to J. Frankau & Co., a British firm who continued the production of the cigars up until 1935 at which point the brand was sold on again to the recently established Menendez y Garcia Co., the makers of the famous Montecristo cigar. The new owners continued the production of H. Upmann cigars up until the nationalisation of the tobacco industry after the Cuban revolution.
H. Upmann's blend is composed exclusively of filler and binder tobaccos grown in the Vuelta Abajo zone and all H. Upmann sizes are ‘tripa larga, totalmente a mano’ – long filler, totally handmade.
Gold medals in no less than eleven international exhibitions during the 19th Century can be found on the brand's labelled boxes.

A late special edition release, limited to 5000 numbered boxes of 10 made exclusively for La Casa del Habano franchises. The size selected for the production is based on an Edmundo and is highly respected by Habanos connoisseurs across the globe.
LA CASA DEL HABANO EXCLUSIVE CIGARS
La Casa del Habano, as the franchise network of Habanos S.A. is called, comprises more than 150 tobacco shops specializing in Habanos worldwide. Each one guarantees the best possible service as well as a wide selection of Habanos of different brands and vitolas as well as walk-in humidors with ideal temperature and humidity conditions.
Several productions are exclusively reserved for the La Casa del Habano shops, such as the Colección Habanos and Replica Antigua humidors as well as unique vitolas for certain Habano brands.
