Distinguished from Series 1 by its wrapper choice, the Toscano Master Aged Series 2 utilizes a dark, oil-rich American Kentucky wrapper leaf grown in Tennessee. The leaf undergoes a prolonged fire-curing process over hardwood logs before being wrapped around an Italian and US Kentucky tobacco filler blend. Supervised by Toscano's Affinatore, the rolled cigars undergo at least 360 days of slow maturation in climate-controlled aging rooms. The American wrapper imparts a slightly sweeter, denser wood-smoke profile that complements the intense pepper and earth underneath. It pairs exceptionally well with a peated Islay scotch, dark aged rum, or a double espresso.
