Inspired by the famed Bordeaux wine estate Château La Mission Haut-Brion (with the "1989" release year paying homage to one of its top-rated vintages), La Mission du L'Atelier pairs a dark Mexican San Andrés maduro wrapper over a blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos infused with Sancti Spíritus leaves in both the binder and filler. The 1989 vitola is soft box-pressed with a traditional pigtail cap, offering a refined delivery of rich cocoa, wood, and pepper balanced by a pleasant natural sweetness.
