The Drew Estate story is one of daring, heartbreak & success but, most of all, one of passion for cigars and the country of Nicaragua, where we have been making cigars since 1996.
Jonathan Drew & Marvin Samel are not your average cigar makers, their story does not start in Cuba, or with fathers in the cigar business. It started with a dream, and through their can-do spirit and never-say-die attitude made Drew Estate one of the premier cigar manufacturers on the planet. The two frat brothers from New York started out small…. Small, as in a 16 square foot retail kiosk in the World Trade Center in NYC.
In late 1998, Jonathan Drew moved to Esteli, Nicaragua with the hopes of starting a rebirth in the cigar world. With a handful of rollers and an even smaller handful of money, the story of “That Crazy Gringo” began.

Perfecting all of the nuances that were learned in the making of Kahlua Cigars Delicioso. Drew Estate presents their coffee-infused cigar in two styles, Dulce and Negra, using the finest Nicaraguan tobaccos & Nicaraguan estate-grown coffee.
Drew Estate had taken the art of blending coffee and cigars to new heights. Slowly infusing rich tobaccos with the finest estate grew coffees from the fertile mountains of Nicaragua, we have created a smoking experience that is pure tobacco velvet upon the palate with the perfect nuance of luscious espresso.

First Third: The initial puff releases an immediate wave of rich milk chocolate, creamy espresso, and a bold, syrupy sweetness from the capped tip. As the burn line evens out, an underlying baseline of toasted cedar and dark-roast coffee beans rounds out the profile.
Second Third: Moving into the main body, the sweetness softens into a more refined mocha and Kahlúa-like character. Dominant notes of dark cocoa powder, cream, and roasted nuts take the lead, while a very soft, warm baking spice develops on the retrohale.
Final Third: The conclusion brings forth more of the natural Nicaraguan tobacco core. Heavy layers of bittersweet dark chocolate, rich espresso earthiness, and a final hint of charred oak timber harmonize beautifully, finishing clean without any bitter buildup.
