La Gloria Cubana is a little known jewel amongst Habano brands - Nevertheless it enjoys a long history.
Founded in 1885, its name alone clearly defines its origin. For over a century it has attracted a small but loyal following amongst the most knowledgeable smokers. The brand is characterized by its elegant presentation, especially in the Medaille d’Or Series.
All the vitolas are Tripa Larga, Totalmente a Mano – long filler, totally hand made.
The blend, made from filler and binder tobaccos grown in the Vuelta Abajo region, offers well-balanced nuances of taste and aroma.
TURQUINOS
Arriving shortly after the hugely successful UK launch of the La Gloria Cubana Medaille d'Or No.4, the Turquinos provides a stouter alternative for smokers who prefer a heavy ring gauge to savour the brand’s distinct medium bodied blend.
The Turquinos is named after Pico Turquino, Cuba’s highest mountain and part of the famous Sierra Maestra mountain range in the southeast of the island.
These cigars are a classic Gordito size, measuring 5 1⁄2” (141mm) x 50 ring gauge and are presented in labelled boxes of 10 cigars. Each piece is hand rolled using tobaccos harvested from Vuelta Abajo in Pinar Del Rio, Cuba which is widely regarded as the finest tobacco growing region in the world.
